The Upcycle Fabric Art Totebag Workshop with UNIQLO created a space to rediscover the value of leftover materials. Through creativity and hands-on making, fabric scraps were transformed into unique and meaningful totebags, demonstrating how materials that might otherwise be discarded can be given a new purpose.

More than a creative workshop, the initiative encouraged greater awareness of environmental responsibility. It showed how simple processes, guided by imagination and thoughtful hands, can turn textile waste into something valuable while inspiring a more conscious and sustainable approach to fashion.

“Kisah Kasih Kain Marmer” introduced Marble Fabric as a material born from textile waste through a thoughtful and extensive transformation process. Presented at the Circular Textile Exhibition on January 29, 2026, at Lomma Darmawangsa, the exhibition highlighted Marble Fabric as a representation of transformation, carrying layers of stories and value. The journey was shared with Para Perempuan Juara – 7 Sekawan as part of Adrie Basuki’s creative exploration of circular fashion.

The experience continued through a Totebag Workshop, allowing guests to interact directly with recycled fabric and transform it into something new and functional. More than a hands-on activity, the workshop offered an opportunity to understand the unique character of Marble Fabric while expressing appreciation to Adrie Basuki’s friends and partners for joining and supporting this journey toward a more circular approach to fashion.

Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel collaborated with fashion designer Adrie Basuki and Yayasan AL-Asyirah Jakarta to present “ZERO WASTE ATELIER: Crafting with Adrie Basuki,” a creative workshop focused on sustainability and responsible textile waste management. Participants learned the marble painting technique, using textile scraps as the main medium to create unique, non-repeating marble patterns. The process encouraged creativity, patience, precision, and experimentation while introducing sustainable practices in textile art.

Beyond an artistic activity, the workshop encouraged participants to see textile waste as the beginning of new creative possibilities rather than the end of a cycle. Through this initiative, the organizers aimed to raise environmental awareness, particularly among younger generations, and demonstrate how creativity can become a meaningful part of building a more responsible and sustainable future.

BCA Syariah hosted a Marble Fabric Totebag Workshop as part of its commitment to supporting sustainable creativity and environmental awareness. Using Marble Fabric, a material made from leftover production textiles, participants explored creative practices rooted in circular fashion. Each totebag became a unique form of expression, combining colors and fabric compositions into patterns that are one of a kind.

More than a creative activity, the workshop encouraged participants to rethink textile waste as an opportunity to create new value. By transforming leftover materials into functional and meaningful artworks, the initiative demonstrated how creativity can foster greater environmental awareness and inspire small but meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.

On September 14, 2025, Adrie Basuki presented “Benang Jiwa” at Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week 2025, in collaboration with actress and creator Prisia Nasution and Batik Sadabhumi. Exploring mental health, the collection uses recycled fabric and batik motifs as metaphors for the complexity of human emotions and life experiences. The batik motifs, developed by Prisia Nasution with Batik Sadabhumi, reflect themes such as anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and depression, conveying a message of resilience and hope.

The collection features 25 looks for men and women, combining contemporary silhouettes with traditional elements such as layered fabrics, macramé, and embroidery. Adrie Basuki’s signature Marble Fabric, developed since 2019 through a seven-stage recycling process, reinforces the collection’s sustainability and social impact, including women’s empowerment in production. Through “Benang Jiwa,” fashion becomes a medium for self-expression, reflection, and a more meaningful approach to sustainability.

At JF3, Adrie Basuki presented “TRANSFORMA,” a collection centered on transformation, circular fashion, and Indonesian textile heritage. Continuing his commitment to recycled fabrics and Indonesian wastra, the collection features his signature Marble Fabric, created by transforming textile waste into new materials with distinctive marble-like patterns. The collection also includes a collaboration with Batik Sadabhumi, whose motifs draw inspiration from the strength of cancer fighters and survivors, reflecting a message of transforming vulnerability into hope and resilience.

The 24-look collection combines Marble Fabric, hand-stamped batik, and modern denim into comfortable, versatile silhouettes designed for active, young-spirited women and men. Even production scraps are transformed back into new Marble Fabric, reinforcing the circular approach. Through layering and easy-to-move designs, TRANSFORMA carries a broader message of adapting positively to change. Adrie Basuki hopes the collection will bring circular fashion closer to Indonesian fashion audiences and position handmade recycled Marble Fabric as a distinctive Indonesian textile with potential for wider recognition in the global fashion industry.

Through garments crafted from leftover fabric, carefully reconstructed by hand, this initiative shows that beauty can coexist with environmental awareness.

Rooted in the principles of circular fashion, each piece carries a message of responsibility—proving that fashion can be both beautiful and meaningful. The occasion also expressed sincere appreciation to Womb Indonesia and Pendopo Indonesia for the opportunity to celebrate Pendopo’s 14th anniversary. More than a celebration, the event highlighted how style, creativity, and conscious choices can come together to inspire a more responsible future for fashion.

At Indonesia Fashion Week 2025 at the Jakarta Convention Center, designer Adrie Basuki presented his latest work through a collaboration with DOKU. The partnership brought together fashion creativity and digital technology, creating a modern and meaningful runway experience. The collection reflected Adrie Basuki’s signature blend of Indonesian traditional textiles and contemporary design.

DOKU complemented the presentation with its focus on digital lifestyle solutions, creating a meeting point between fashion and technology. More than a showcase of clothing, the collaboration represented how creative expression and technological innovation can come together to reflect the evolving future of Indonesia’s creative industry.

On May 28, 2025, UNIQLO LifeWear hosted a creative Marble Painting Workshop at UNIQLO South Quarter, South Jakarta. The workshop combined artistic expression with environmental awareness through a unique painting technique that creates captivating, flowing patterns. Participants were introduced to an engaging art experience while exploring new ways to transform simple materials into meaningful artworks.

The workshop also embraced a zero-waste approach, encouraging participants to create art through sustainable use of materials while minimizing waste. More than just a creative activity, the event highlighted how art and environmental responsibility can coexist, inspiring participants to see creativity as a meaningful way to contribute to a more sustainable future.

On May 21–22, 2025, at Forme Wijaya in South Jakarta, designer Adrie Basuki collaborated with Forme Furniture and MKS Shoes on a meaningful initiative supporting cancer patients through the Patient Navigator Program by the Indonesian Cancer Information and Support Center Association (CISC). As the first program of its kind in Indonesia, Patient Navigator provides guidance and emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey, particularly during chemotherapy, and currently operates at four major hospitals in Jakarta.

Beyond fashion and aesthetics, the collaboration honored cancer survivors and Patient Navigators who accompany patients through challenging moments. Part of the participating brands’ sales during the event was donated to support CISC’s Shelter Home and Patient Navigator programs. Under the theme “Kembali Utuh” (Returning Whole), the initiative emphasized solidarity, compassion, and the belief that hope can grow when people move forward together.

To welcome the holy month of Ramadan, Adrie Basuki, Jeffry Tan, and Olmorva collaborated on an exclusive event held from February 21–28, 2025, at Jeffry Tan’s boutique in Cipete, South Jakarta. Adrie Basuki introduced his Raya Collection, combining elegance with meaningful simplicity, complemented by Jeffry Tan’s Shoes Collection and Olmorva’s latest fragrance, which brought a soft and calming touch to the experience.

More than a fashion showcase, the collaboration reflected the essence of Ramadan through elegant simplicity, meaningful beauty, and harmony. The event was also supported by Jeeves Indonesia, Kue Kita Jakarta, and Four Seasons Jakarta, bringing together fashion, footwear, fragrance, and lifestyle in one refined celebration.

Amid growing global concern over textile waste and environmental damage, creative initiatives are bringing together art and sustainability. Traditional Japanese sashiko embroidery highlights the value of repairing and extending the life of damaged garments, while the Scrap Painting Workshop transforms leftover materials into unique artworks, promoting creativity and zero-waste awareness. The Marble Painting Workshop further demonstrates how sustainable materials can be turned into visually striking art.

These workshops were held in collaboration with UNIQLO LIFEWEAR on February 2, 2025, at Senayan City Mall, Jakarta. More than creative activities, the program shows how art can inspire greater environmental awareness. Through every stitch, brushstroke, and pattern, creativity becomes a meaningful step toward reducing waste and encouraging more sustainable practices.

On June 21, 2024, Adrie Basuki had the opportunity to appear at the event “NEW SKINCARE LAUNCH WP AESTHETIC CLINIC, TRUNK SHOW BY ADRIE BASUKI” at WP Aesthetic Clinic, Pondok Indah, Jakarta.

During the event, dr. Widya Putri, the Founder of WP Aesthetic Clinic, introduced her latest skincare products to the invited guests. At the end of the event, Adrie Basuki showcased 5 looks from the latest kebaya collection, beautifully modeled by dr. Widya Putri dr. Apriliya, dr. Nina Setyadi, dr. Nia, and dr. Grace Prasetyo. In addition, Adrie Basuki also had the opportunity to open a booth at the event, while sharing information about Marble Fabric with the attending guests.

It was also a fun experience to be able to collaborate with great women who are cancer survivors @cancerclubcisc in this event. It felt good to see the high enthusiasm and enthusiasm of these great women, swaying beautifully dressed in the Adrie Basuki and MKS’ Shoes collections in front of the invited guests who attended the event.

It was a valuable opportunity for Adrie Basuki to join the "INDONESIA IN SG" event at Takashimaya Singapore, 17-21 April 2024. It was a pleasure to meet and see the enthusiasm of people in Singapore who attended the event and were interested in Adrie Basuki's Zero Waste collection.

At this event, visitors could see, try and experience Adrie Basuki's Raya 2024 collection firsthand. Apart from that, visitors can also share stories and discuss the process of making Kain Marmer "Signature Handmade Recycle Fabric Adrie Basuki” while waiting for the time to break the fast.

The return to Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week is something that has been missed. It was at PIFW 2019 that Adrie Basuki's brand made its first appearance at a major event in the Indonesian fashion industry.

This time at Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week 2024, Adrie Basuki raised the theme "Intersection", which describes the fusion of culture and contemporary elements, which is an important meaning so that the younger generation never forgets the cultural roots where they come from, but also remains relevant to the present. This is in the hope that Indonesian wastra will be appreciated in the future and be a part of everyday life in this modern era.

Consistently elevating Indonesian wastra, this time using Tenun Baduy and Tenuh Garut in combination with the handmade zero waste fabric "Kain Marmer" which is Adrie Basuki's signature. The combination of these three main fabrics results in a more modern silhouette that fits any body shape and can be used for different occasions.

On February 22nd, @adriebasuki.id was given a valuable opportunity to share about the concept of "Sustainable Living" at the annual event "Evaluasi Uji Kompetensi Tata Busana" organized by Lembaga Sertifikasi Kompetensi (LSK) Tata Busana at Lumire Hotel & Convention Jakarta. The theme for Adrie Basuki's collection at JFW 2024 is "GARDEN OF JOY," inspired by how our current generation has become somewhat detached from nature due to the rapid advancements in technology, causing us to forget the simple, delightful things around us. Through this collection, we aim to remind everyone of the happiness we experienced while playing in a garden full of flowers, even with the simplest things, which carry deep meaning and allow us to express ourselves freely. Adrie Basuki presents an exploration of their signature patchwork fabrics, "marble patchwork" combined with batik cap fabric, enhanced with the handcrafted pom-pom details that bring a sense of joy and fun, all beautifully packaged in a variety of colors.

In this Fashion Nation 17th Edition 2023, Adrie Basuki presents a collection titled "MAGMA: THE POWER WITHIN." This collection is inspired by a tremendous force hidden within a volcano, which, as it turns out, has numerous benefits for its surroundings. It symbolizes not only the power of magma but also the strength residing within the people of Indonesia to keep creating and adapting to the changes that occur. Seventeen looks are the result of the hard work from the team at Adrie Basuki's workshop, who are always enthusiastic as they transform and explore recycled fabrics together...

The "Kawan Nusantara" was an event organized by TULOLA with the theme "Angkasa dan Bumi" on August 24-25, 2023, at The Darmawangsa Jakarta.

Kawan Nusantara began with a performance of poetic music and installation with a concept reminiscent of Indonesia's past artistic presentations. And it is also an exhibition that include the presence of technology as the element of the event

The BNI Bazar Fest Vol.2 fashion show titled “Bertabur Wastra” with UMKM Binaan BNI on August 23, 2023, at GRHA BNI, Central Jakarta.

The fashion show featured 20 looks showcasing various Indonesian fabrics with different motifs. The BNI Bazaar Fest was held from August 23 to 25 to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day. This is a great opportunity to work with Indonesian Fabric with a touch of modern style.

A collaboration of Titimangsa and Adrie Basuki to create merchandise with the theme “Kue Kayu Manis” inspired from Teater Ariyah dari Jembatan Ancol.

Performance was held at Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki, on July 27-28, 2023. Titimangsa and Adrie Basuki opened a merchandise booth offering T-shirts, shirts, pouches, and tote bags.

At the Perca Festival 2023, Adrie Basuki was allowed to participate as a speaker and share the journey of collaboration between Adrie Basuki and the women of Kampung Perca.

The Sustainability Festival 2023 with the theme "Sustainable Living: Mindful & Sustainable Fashion," organized by OCBC NISP, was held at On Space OCBC BSD on June 23, 2023. Adrie Basuki was sharing his passion for sustainability fabric, the process and how to join the movement in Fashion Industry.

This festival also featured 10 Zero Waste collections by Adrie Basuki, worn by the employees of OCBC NISP.

At the Jakarta Creative Festival event in collaboration with Bank Indonesia, held from June 16th-18th, 2023, at the Atrium Mall Taman Anggrek.

Adrie Basuki participated in a fashion show that involved several designers from DKI Jakarta, with a focus on traditional fabric and patchwork as the primary material.

The models in the Jakarta Creative Festival fashion show were employees of banks who were members of the Musyawarah Perbankan Daerah (BMPD) in DKI Jakarta and part of Banker Top Model 2023.

At the seminar in collaboration with Bank Indonesia, the theme was “Wastra Indonesia For Yor Daily Wear” held on May 25th , 2023, at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

Adrie Basuki had the opportunity to share about wastra Indonesian fabrics, how to mix and match and how to wear wastra in daily basis, This subject is aligned with Adrie Basuki’s Brand DNA: Proud of Indonesian Fabric.

BNI Kartini event was held on May 11, 2023, at the BNI Tower in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, Adrie Basuki contributed to the attire worn by members of the BNI Central Women's Club (KKB BNI Pusat).

Additionally, there was also an Adrie Basuki’s booth showcasing collections of Kebaya, Zero Waste fashion, and various Indonesian fabrics.

Adrie Basuki organized a Private Viewing Pop Up Store intending to allow friends to see our collections firsthand.

With this Private Viewing, friends will experience the sensation of viewing our latest collections as well as our zero waste collection exclusively and have direct interactions with us.

The Private Viewing took place for 2 days, on April 1-2, 2023, at Marbella Kemang Residence, South Jakarta.

From February 22-26, 2023, Adrie Basuki took part in enlivening the Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) 2023, held at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC).

At IFW, Adrie Basuki had the opportunity to host a trunk show initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. In the trunk show, we showcased 8 looks from the Cahaya Raya collection, specially designed to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr festival in 2023.

Nawasena Fashion Show was an event organized by Bogor Fashion Culture (BFC) at the Official Residence of the Mayor of Bogor on February 28, 2023.

The Fashion Show featured 10 designers from the city of Bogor who are part of BFC. Each designer presented 5 signature creations with a variety of color and motif choices.

The theme of Nawasena itself signifies a bright future with hope, by opening windows and expanding global insights. It aims not only to impact the Bogor community but also the national and global audience.

At the Pure London International Trade Show, held from February 12 - 14, 2023, at Olympia Kensington London, Adrie Basuki was given the opportunity to showcase original recycled fabrics (Marble Patchwork) from Indonesia in their winter clothing collection.

The Trade Show featured over a hundred other brands from various countries. During the event, Adrie Basuki developed original recycled fabrics from Indonesia, starting from the Sulah Nyanda collection, which was the winner of the 2021 Indonesian Fashion Designer Competition.

Afternoon Delicacies Featuring Zero Waste Fashion with Adrie Basuki at KBRI London on February 8, 2023, was a new experience for Adrie Basuki to design a winter coat using recycled marble patchwork fabric.

Recycled Indonesian fabric became the main focus of our workshop. Additionally, I was given the opportunity to explain in detail the step-by-step process of creation and the contributions made to the environment. Big Thanks to Ibu Sari Percaya and Indonesian Embassy in London for a great meaningful experience in meeting International Women Society in London.

As the winner of the Fashion Designer Competition (LPM), Adrie Basuki was awarded a scholarship at Istituto Marangoni London. This opportunity broadened Adrie Basuki's insights as they could delve deeper into the world of fashion alongside industry professionals.

Istituto Marangoni London is strategically located near a trending vintage market. The available classes are diverse, ranging from Fashion Business, Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, to Interior Design.

The journey within the Istituto Marangoni London scholarship have been a great inspiration to continue learning about new things in International Fashion landscape.

On December 12nd, 2022, Adrie Basuki received appreciation from the "Anugerah Bangga Buatan Indonesia" award by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Kementerian UMKM) and was selected as one of the top 3 finalists in the Fashion category among 20 finalists.

This motivates us to continue our work in developing traditional Indonesian fabrics and recycling fabric processes together with Kampung Perca Bogor.

The development focus on the ZERO WASTE process continues to progress over time. Our efforts to always try to recycle the leftover fabric from our workshop have received support and appreciation from many parties.

This time, UOB (United Overseas Bank) has entrusted Adrie Basuki to create their uniforms with a focus on ZERO WASTE development. In the process, all the old uniforms from UOB Bank are repurposed into new uniforms, prioritizing ZERO WASTE process and supporting the sustainability movement.

The Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2023 took place on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at City Hall, Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta. At the event, Adrie Basuki had the opportunity to participate in JFW and open the show for the finalists of the Men's Wear Design Competition (Lomba Perancang Mode, LPM) 2022.

In the Fashion Show, Adrie Basuki presented the theme "Awake From the Sleep," inspired by the approximately 2-year period of being forced into slumber and the exploration of recycled fabrics - marble patches with new forms as a continuation of the 2021 Fashion Designer Competition.

On September 29, 2022, Adrie Basuki collaborated with Uniqlo Indonesia to present a Fashion Presentation - Live Mannequin with the theme "RE.UNIQLO: REMAKE PROJECT" at Menara Astra, 50th floor.

40 upcycled design clothes with the theme "Godai" were showcased, representing the five elements in Japanese culture: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Sky. These designs incorporated various fabric manipulation techniques, with the assistance of female artisans from Adrie Basuki's workshop and the women artisan from Kampung Perca.

At the Grand Opening of Cucina Restaurant in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, Adrie Basuki successfully completed an exciting challenge, which involved creating a 15-meter x 2.2-meter Marble Patchwork Fabric that took nearly 3 months to make.

In addition, Adrie Basuki was also given the opportunity to showcase an exploration of Indonesian traditional fabrics, including Tenun Baduy, Tenun Jepara, Tenun Makassar, and recycled fabrics, with a focus on the Zero Waste Process and Women Empowerment.

The first experience and one of the most memorable moment of Adrie Basuki in International Event was being invited by Indonesian Embassy in Moscow to showcase special collection wastra Indonesia and zero waste fabric during the celebration of Indonesian Independence Day on August 18th, 2022. Held in the historical garden at Indonesian Embassy office and attended by International Women Community and Indonesian people in Moscow.

For this event, Adrie Basuki collaborated with Buccheri and presented the collection "SUSTAINABLE FASHION, EMPOWERING WOMEN," which is an exploration of Traditional Indonesian Fabrics combined with Zero Waste fabrics made by women artisan from Bogor.

Desa Mulyaharja is one of the tourist destinations in Bogor that showcase a beautiful paddy field. Organized by Pemerintah Kota Bogor, the event was showcasing Bogor Fashion Designers and also the finalists of Mojang Jajaka Bogor, having the beautiful fashion show in middle of the paddy field.

As always, Adrie Basuki showcased the zero-waste design collection as our contribution to support green eco movement.

Hotel Episode Gading Serpong has its signature of Chinese ethnic and Baduy Culture that being implemented in its interior design and food & beverage. This is like destiny for Adrie Basuki who also consistently exploring Baduy handwoven fabric as one of the the identity.

During the Grand Opening of Episode Hotel Gading serpong, we designed 16 looks that embracing baduy handwoven fabric and also the signature zero waste fabric – Marble patchwork. The fashion show also supported by Nirina Zubir, Ivy Batuta, Faradina Mufti, Myrna Pohan, Ryan Wiedaryanto and also Demmy Indranugroho.

Adrie Basuki is one of the initiators of The Zero Waste village in Bogor named Kampung Perca. Kampung perca was launched in 2021 by Governor of west Java, Bapak Rdwan Kamil, Bogor Mayor and Vice Mayor, Bapak Bima Arya and Baoak Dedie Rachim. You may visit Kampung Perca to experience the beauty of zero waste process, meeting the women artisan and having lunch at the venue. Kampung Perca is located at Desa Sindangsari, Tajur Bogor.

Kampug Perca is really align with the spirit of Adrie Basuki’s Brand DNA: Zero Waste Process and Women Empowerment. Since the very beginning of its opening, the women artisan has been growing from 15 to 35 women artisan.

To join this competition, being the finalist and at the end being the Winner of 2 awards is a dream come true!!! For LPM 2021, we brought the culture of Baduy, our Roots. Inspired by Sulah Nyanda - the original house of Baduy. The house is very simple and honest, made by nature and the spirit of togetherness.

We also add handmade embroidery and crushed patchwork as our respect to all the crafters. The use of Baduy woven fabric always make us happy because more and more people will know about this beautiful fabric from West Java...

We believe in the Young Generation to create impact for the future, thus, we are so excited to prepare special collection for Mojang Jajaka Kota Bogor 2021. Inspired by Kebaya and twist it in modern look to make it more relevant to the current state. We are happy to announce Adrie Basuki x Mojang Jajaka Kota Bogor 2021
